Finished in 2016, this is an acrylic on canvas creation, with the raised texture to show the ice, to create the feel of the surface.  Black ice is a great hazard for drivers, climbers, and scramblers.  Cold weather is common at high altitudes and black ice quickly forms on rock surfaces.  Loss of traction is as sudden and unexpected as on a pavement or road, but can be fatal. A very vivid abstract in the black and white series.
